What is JMP Clinical?
JMP Clinical is an interactive clinical data analysis platform that enables users to explore clinical trial data, detect safety and efficacy signals, and create customized review reports and narratives. It is built on JMP software and supports workflows for study management, statistical analysis, medical review, and narrative generation.

📁 Setting Up and Managing Studies
Add a Study
- 1Go to Studies on the JMP Clinical Main Window.
- 2Select Add Study and browse to the folder with your SDTM or ADaM CDISC-compliant files. More info.
- 3Click Run (or Import).
Refresh Metadata
If your source data changes:
- Use Refresh Study Metadata under Studies to re-synchronize JMP Clinical datasets. More info.

Configure:
Configuration Paths
Set local vs. shared configuration paths. See the Configuration Quick Start for a full walkthrough.
User Roles
Assign roles per user: Study Manager, Review Author, Settings Editor. Roles control which tabs and actions are visible in the Main Window.
Help Preferences
Choose the online version of the User Guide (always current) or a local version downloaded via Download Documentation…
Language Options
Switch the interface language between English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Note: After changing the language, restart JMP Clinical for the change to take effect.

- Apply clinical-optimized settings using Set Study Preferences. More info.
📊 Creating Reviews and Reports
Launch Review Builder
- 1Go to Reviews in the main window.
- 2Click to open Review Builder.
- 3In the Select Reports window, choose desired reports (e.g., Adverse Events, Events Distribution, Labs).
Running Reports
- Each selected report opens in its own tab, showing default or customizable settings.
- Click Run to generate results — interactive dashboards and tables are displayed upon completion.
📈 Interpreting Results
- JMP Clinical reports provide dynamic visual analysis (histograms, distributions, volcano plots, etc.).
- Use Data Filters to refine subsets interactively. More info.
- Drill-down tools enable subject-level profiling and cluster analyses.
Patient Profiles & Narratives
- Select subsets of interest and run Profile Subjects to see multi-domain summaries. More info.
- Create standardized patient narratives from profile data and export them to Word. More info.
